The Black Stars of Ghana were held to a 2-2 drawn game by Benin in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt. The Squirrels tore into the Black Stars defence from the beginning and had instant reward.
Mickael Poté surged on to a clever through ball from midfield, racing past the high Ghanaian defense before slotting past goalkeeper Richard Ofori, in the process scoring the fastest goal at this year’s Africa Cup Of Nations.

Captain Dede Ayew equalized for the Black Stars seven minutes afterward and becoming Ghana’s all-time top scorer in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Jordan Ayew put the Stars in the driving seat a few minutes to the half time break. He tuned deliciously after been played through and unleashing a sweet shot pass the Benin goalie.
Defender John Boye was handed a second yellow card for delaying and has entered into the record books of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) as the first player to be sent off.
Mickael Pote put the Squirrels on level pegging when he scored from a nice backheel in the 77th minute.
Steve Mounier, the dangerman for the Squirrels only threat in front of goal was his free-kick which forced Richard Ofori to react to save the situation.
