AFRIMA 2018: Sarkodie celebrates 81st award in his career with fans

The king of rap in Gh Michael Owusu astutely known as Sarkodie in the music industry is still counting his achievement over and over again in his life as a rapper and gradually becoming the most decorated musician ever in Ghana’s history.

The father of one and Chief Executive Officer of Sarkcess Music Label is thankful to God and his fans especially for being with him throughout from day one of his musical career till date after grabbing an award he won at the 5th edition of the ‘All Africa Music Awards’, AFRIMA 2018 held in Ghana for the first time in November last year.

Sarkodie won the Best Artist in African Inspirational Music with his song “Glory” which featured Nigeria singer Yung L.


The hip-hop singer took to twitter in a video wielding the prestigiously decorated award to express his gratitude to his fans for their prayers and support in attaining this new success.


“Hi, what’s up guys! so finally officially, I just got the award, the AFRIMA award for  Best Artist in African Inspirational Music  to one of the best african rappers of all time “Glory” featuring Yung L Nigeria, I wanna say a big thank you to the fans for their support and each and everyone who voted for me; shout outs to AFRIMA awards, I appreciate this one”Sarkodie expressed.

Adding a tweet to the video he wrote;

News has it the AFRIMA award becomes the 81st award Obidi has chalked and more yet to come.
