Breaking News: Asamoah Gyan Retires From International Football

The captain of the Ghana national soccer team, Asamoah Gyan has announced his permanent retirement from National duty.

According to a press release sighted by Tieghanaonline on the striker’s Instagram page, his resignation has to do with the fact that his position as the captain of the team will be given to someone else while he is present in the forthcoming AFCON 2019 to be held in Egypt.

According to Asamoah Gyan, it is unheard of for a substantial captain to be present in a team while the same position is given to someone else and he finds that as an insult.
