Corona Virus also know as Covid-19, a disease which sprang up earlier this year and had been declared pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO) is now in Ghana.
The disease which is stated to have flu-like symptoms is still on the rise. Corona Virus has killed a lot of people in China and other parts of the world.
Few days ago, all the neighboring countries of Ghana have been affected by this disease. The disease is being spread through physical contact with hosts/carriers/affected persons.
According to a statement released by the Ministry of Health on the status update of this viral infection, confirmed two cases.
The statement mentioned that, the two people infected came in from Turkey and Norway.
Ministry of Health have allocated a total amount of $100 million to help in dealing with the disease.
Few weeks back, some of the suspected cases tested came out negative at the Noguchi lab.
The general public is advised to take safety measures to prevent themselves from the virus.
Wash hands frequently with soap and water, avoid handshakes, dispose off used tissues well, avoid touching your mouth, eyes and nose with unwashed hands. Do not also forget to use protective clothing and alcohol hand rubs or sanitizers.
Avoid crowd and live in a well ventilated area. Ghana has her share of the virus so we would encourage everyone to stay safe and practice good hygiene out there.
