According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports, Davido has accrued over 500 million views and with approximately 1.5 billion minutes of watch time on all his uploads on the video streaming platform to achieve this status.
In January, Davido’s hit song, ‘Fall’ beat out Yemi Alade’s ‘Johnny’ to become the most viewed Nigerian music video on YouTube. He then became the 1st Nigerian artist to hit over 100 million views on YouTube ahead of Yemi Alade and Tekno.
Davido also uses his YouTube account to promote works of some of his label mates. These include music videos of Dremo, Perruzi, and Mayourkun. As the boss of Davido Music Worldwide, he promotes his artistes to get the maximum exposure apart from what they get from their own fanbase.
