Government Declares Monday September 23 As Public Holiday

The interior ministry has declared Monday September 23, 2019 as a public holiday.

In a statement signed by the Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery on Wednesday, it said the holiday is in accordance with the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day which falls on Saturday September 21, 2019.

It added “In view of the fact that 21st September, 2019 falls on a Saturday, His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana has by Executive Instrument (E.I)’ declares Monday, 23rd September,2019 as an  Additional Public Holiday to be observed as Kwame Nkrumah  Memorial Day throughout the country.”
