An Accra Circuit Court on Monday gave Valentina Nana Agyeiwa aka Afia Schwarzenegger, a television host and a comedian, permission to call her last prosecution witness, Detective Corporal Simon Amegatcher, a Police Officer.
Led in evidence by Chief Inspector Maxwell Oppong, Detective Corporal (DC) Amegtacher informed the court that the substantive Investigator, Detective Sergeant Owusu Boateng was on admission at the hospital and unable to talk.

WITNESS’ ACCOUNT
According to the witness, he was at the Police station in August last year, when Lawrence Abrokwah as the initial complainant made a report to the Police. He indicated that he (Abrokwah) and Nana Agyeiwaa, his girlfriend had some issues.
The witness said subsequently, Nana Agyeiwaa also walked in at the same Police station to also make a complaint.
D/C Amegatcher said soon after Nana Agyeiwaa made her complainant she left the Charge Office for other engagements.
However, the witness said on his arrival at the court, Abrokwah had now turned to be the accused person. Nana Agyeiwaa the initially accused person had now become the complainant.
The Police officer tendered various statements of Abrokwah and medical report of Nana Agyeiwaa in evidence.
Answering questions under cross-examination by Mr Anthony Naamo, counsel for Abrokwah, D/C Amegatcher admitted that Abrokwah was the first person to lodge a complaint at the Police station.
When quizzed over the content of the Nana Agyeiwaa’s medical report, Prosecution objected to the witness answering the question in respect of the report saying the witness was not the medical doctor who wrote the report.

DEFENCE COUNCIL
Defence Counsel said the medical report of Nana Agyeiwa contained a narration of what transpired between her and Abrokwah.
Additionally, Mr Naamo said the medical report stated that Nana Agyeiwaa indicated that Abrokwah pulled her braids and some of the said braids pulled out. This, Nana Agyeiwaa said caused her pains.
Mr Naamo insisted that his client would go ahead to file a submission of no case noting that they would need court proceedings on two other witnesses before doing so.
Prosecution after consulting with Nana Agyeiwaa closed their case adding that, “we will not like to waste the court’s time”.
At the last sitting, the court closed the case of prosecution after warning them to appear in court. The prosecution, however, did not turn up hence their case was closed.
It however ordered defence counsel to file its submission of no case by October 2 so that the court could rule on it on October 8.
When the case was called prosecution produced another witness in the person of Detective Corporal Simon Amegatcher.
Abrokwah has been hauled on charges of stealing, carrying an offensive weapon and causing damage.
He has pleaded not guilty to all the charges. He then admitted bailing in the sum of GH¢20,000.00 with two sureties.
Prosecuting Chief Inspector Maxwell Oppong narrated that Abrokwah was living with Afia in her Dome Pillar two house in Accra but decided to pack-out following recurrent disagreements.

SECOND WITNESS
Chief Inspector Oppong said, Abrokwah, on August 30, last year, was informed by the housemaid that Afia had a male visitor who spends the night with her.
The prosecution said Abrokwah then went to the house and managed to enter by scaling the wall.
He then deflated the tires of the car belonging to Afia’s male visitor. With the help of the housemaid, he entered the room through the back door.
Chief Inspector Oppong told the court that Mr Lawrence Abrokwa was allegedly wielding a knife and a bottle of acid. He also indicated that Abrokwah threatened Afia Schwarzenegger and the man she was reportedly sleeping with.
He said the accused entered the room with his phone camera on. The accused then forced Afia to strip naked and confess that she was a prostitute.
The prosecution said Abrokwah then recorded the nakedness of Afia, which he later distributed on social media.
The matter has been adjourned to October 22.
