Presbyterian Church of Ghana Victory Congregation Donates to Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Victory Congregation in Abotakyi-Akuapem, Mampong Akuapem District, has extended a generous gesture to the paediatric ward of the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital in Mampong Akuapem. The donation, made on Sunday after the church’s forenoon service, is part of a series of activities to mark the 25th anniversary celebration of the church since its inception. The festival will culminate in a grand Thanksgiving service on December 15, 2024.

The donated items included bed sheets, toilet paper, Pampers, diapers, wipes, cleaning supplies, biscuits, bottled water, and other essential supplies for the ward’s operations and patient care.

Present at the event were notable church leaders, including Rev. Sampson Owusu, minister in charge of Victory Congregation, Abotakyi-Akuapem; Rev. Erasmus Ayikwei, minister in charge of Mampong-Nkwanta; Catechist Mrs. J.A. Amponsah; and Senior Presbyter Mr. M.T. Anguah.

This act of kindness underscores the church’s commitment to its community and aligns with its mission of supporting those in need. The hospital staff expressed their gratitude for the timely support, which will go a long way in enhancing the care provided to the children at the ward.

As the church continues its anniversary celebrations, this donation serves as a reminder of the important role faith-based organisations play in fostering community development and compassion.
