Former Queen of the Shatta Movement Empire, Shatta Michy has been honoured with a citation from the African Young & Vibrant Seminar for motivating young women and playing a phenomenal role in encouraging women, in general, to strive through thick and thin.
The citation reads;
“Your great works and inspirations have been noticed and though that we are aware that most young women have been lifted and taken up their crosses to go through both thick and thin to stand strong as a woman. We appreciate you and we pray your love for the youth will continue to develop and your brand be taken across boarders.”
Michy, real name Diamond Gbagonah assumed a different image during the latter days of her troubled times with ex-boyfriend, Shatta Wale. She said in a previous interview that she intends to depart from that ‘bad girl’ image persona to a more refined person who can inspire the young one.
She walked the talk when in December last year, supported 20 girls through Hairstyling Masterclass for free and she received a lot of applauds for that.
She has currently employed a lot of youths under her ‘Chopius Food’ and hopes to add up more as time goes by.
