Ghanaian-born afrobeats/highlife musician, Kuami Eugene has finally explained the idea behind his latest stage name ‘Rockstar’.
With many people wondering why the supertalented musician has attached the name to his already growing ‘Kuami Eugene’ brand, it was very necessary for Kuami to explain the name.
During his interview with KSM on Friday night, Kuami Eugene mentioned that the name came from his strugggles. According to him, he came from the rocks but through the grace of God, he’s now a star. This according to him makes him a rockstar.
He was however quick to add that he rocks whenever he gets on stage and that also played a role in the name he chose.
“Apart from the fact that I rock on stage, I think I came from the rocks and god has made me a star so far l’m a rockstar. “ he said.
