Wendy Shay Has Done What Shatta Wale,Stonebwoy and Sarkodie Couldn’t Do In Just 6 Months

Rufftown Records signee has launched her debut album after just a few months of being in the music scene.

The ‘bedroom commando’ hitmaker on Thursday, December 20, 2018, had a private launch for her album dubbed ‘Shay on You’ at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra.

The album launch which was strictly by invitation saw the media, industry players, family members, friends and fans of the musician showing up to support the event.

The Deputy Communications Director, National Youth Organiser and currently the National Organiser-elect of the New Patriotic Party, Sammy Awuku and six others paid Gh25,000 for copies of the “Shay on You” Album.

Other personalities also paid cash to get copies of the ‘uber driver’ hitmaker’s album.

According to Wendy Shay in a one-on-one interview with Caroline Sampson, the host of the show said that the ‘Shay On You’ is a 10 track album and was recorded in just 6 months.

She further stated that the album is packed with different genres of music such as highlife, afrobeat, dancehall, and many others.

Songs on the “Shay On you” album she said include Psalm 35, Uber Driver, Shay On you, bedroom commando and many others.

Sefa, Adina, Keche and Nana Boro also performed on the night of the album launch.
